Conferences and Symposia
There are different forms of internships. Some are defined in the context of an ongoing research project; others are identified in combination with colleagues and professionals known to a supervisor; again others are formulated by organizations in the South or Europe (NGO's, partner organizations, social movements).
In quite a lot of cases, students themselves have identified a topic and have established contacts with organizations. Students may have ideas and suggestions themselves that will be discussed in detail with the coordinator. This self-help and independent manner of working is appreciated. However, in all cases students must seek advice and approval from the coordinator and/or supervisor. The Chair Group also has in the context of its many research projects and networks several thesis research topics and internship placements available.
